Paige Tomlinson

In the dynamic world of music and entertainment, few DJ’s have managed to make their mark as rapidly as Paige Tomlinson. Paige has captivated audiences with her electrifying performances, innovative mixes, and a distinct talent for bringing people together on the dance floor. We were lucky enough to be able to sit down with Paige and chat to her about how she’s managed to get to where is she is so quickly.

We asked Paige if she had any advice for upcoming DJ's, here's what she said:

"My first piece of advice is to just be yourself, when I started DJing there wasn't many DJs around who were female around the city, apart from the likes of Lauren Lo Sung. It's important to hone in on your sound that you love the most, too many people these days are trying to follow the crowd and following a certain sound. If it's not something you love you are just going to get bored of it. What I found is that I started playing really minimal music years ago, got sick of it. Then moved into disco and got sick of that. Now I've moved into more house records which I love and I don't think I'll ever get bored of."

Paige made emphasis on the fact that you need to try different things before you really find what you love, going from minimal to disco, then finally finding her love in house music. She continued on to say:

"A huge piece of advice which I done when I first started was to enter loads of DJ competitions, the first one I entered was for Mouvement, didn't end up winning it and I was so gutted. Which is funny because I'm mates with all the lads now and we laugh about it. The second competition I entered was for Moxy Muzik, Darius Syrossian's label, which I won and he's kept me on since. And then the next competition was for Defected which I ended up winning out of thousands, and they've also kept me on which I think has massively helped my career, especially this year."

Paige is undoubtedly on the rise, already establishing herself on a global scale. Her remarkable journey from a bedroom DJ to a global sensation is a testament to her unwavering passion, innovation, and dedication to the art of music.
